Specifically, the following outputs are envisaged from the conference:

Open interaction between media, civil society groups, government and donors for attaining shared goals.
An objective Afghan-led assessment of the state of the media in post-Taliban Afghanistan in terms of covering the country's developmental issues.
Summary report of discussion and recommendations to government and the donors regarding their roles for supporting and facilitating the development of a professional and sustainable media industry,
A Kabul Declaration of Afghan Media and Civil Society 2007 charting a course of action after the forum and,
A final report detailing Forum discussions and recommendations for action.
Complete audio and video recording of Forum proceedings and production of audio archive and video documentary
