are published in the nation’s two
main languages, Dari and Pashtu and are
sold for 9 Afghanis (18 cents) each in the
market place. They are sold in each province
of the country, each week from over six
hundred mobile and stationary selling points
and have significant name brand recognition
throughout the country making them the ideal

With a print run of 25,000 copies a week
and an actual audience reach of 250,000
through community sharing, Killid
Weekly is both TKG’s
and Afghanistan’s flagship printed

Killid Magazine is estimated to each around
600,000 persons from very educated people
to low middle-class population. By putting

Killid Weekly magazine is the biggest in
terms of print-run and most widely read
magazine in Afghanistan. Every week its
70 journalists provide issue-based investigative
reporting. Killid’s Weekly editorial
content comprises of national, regional,
and international news reporting, political
and economic analysis of the week, development
based reporting nation-wide, civic education
themes such as voter registration and election,
disarmament and reintegration,, security
sector reform, freedom of press and free
expression, administrative and civil service

its first edition in march 2002, Killid Weekly
progressed by expanding its regional presence
and facilitating the flow of information between
the regions and the centre. Today we have journalists
based in the following regions of Afghanistan;

Jalalabad and Gardez working in total cooperation
with our main office in Kabul.
We are committed to covering life in both rural
and urban settings, of men and women as well as
Afghanistan’s rich cultural heritage. We

non-partisan relevant and accurate information
on the ongoing political transition to the people
of Afghanistan. Killid Weekly is also the only
major publication to strictly respect between
Dari and Pashto, Afghanistan’s national
languages.
Killid Weekly’s
magazine is part of the TKG group who is releasing
every week one other magazine (Mursal),diffuses
a radio (Radio Killid) in Kabul and its region;
and owns
the only national distribution service Nye Distribution
Network.
