The buzz is on about Habib Qaderi’s new album CD “For My People | Ba Tu Hamwatanam”, set to be released in March 2006. This 13-Track album comes with a refreshing new look and consists of a variety of both ghazels and upbeat songs. |

Rave reviews have been made about the album and many are anxiously awaiting its release, possibly during the celebrations of the Afghan New Year. “For My People” comes not long after the successful hit of Habib’s previous work “Maymaan-e-Yaar” and his DVD album “Journey”.

NOWROZ Festival 2006:Leila Forouhar & Mamoon

It’s another year, and there’s another great Nowroz event in California. For the first time ever, the world-renowned Persian superstar, Leila Forouhar will be joining the stage with one of Afghans’ newest and up and coming artists, Mamoon, for a live performance at the Almaeda County Fairgrounds of Pleasanton, California on Saturday, April 1, 2006. |

The festival, which is promoted by TriVision Studios both in the United States and Canada, is an all-day event starting at 10am and ending at 8pm, with over 15,000 Afghans and Iranians expected to attend. Aside from the live performances by Leila and Mammon, the program will also be featuring DJ Mast, who will be playing music throughout the day. In addition, there will be other activities, such as games, children’s carnival, shopping, food and music.
